New CHIII class idea: Slavemaster
This is a different idea compared to ranger, where you have HUMAN companions, instead of charming, taming, you buy them at towns or off people. Equippable, levelable, Slave skills, specified for specific types of slaves. They also have adrenal skills, mostly shouts
Attributes:
Painful Influence: Whenever you take damage, nearby fleshy allies gain 2 health at attribute rank 3, 5 at rank 8, 7 at 10 and above. (this maybe exploitable or overpowered) This also increases the effectiveness of Painful Influence skills.
[Enduring Wound {E} skill ,4 adrenal, For 15 seconds, all physical damage is absorbed, when this skill ends you take the absorbed damage and suffer from bleeding and deep wound. If this skill ends prematurely, you do not suffer from bleeding and deep wound.]
Slave Mastery: For every point in this attribute, it decreases the % of health lost by overworking (Overworking is your Human Companion losing 20% current health but attacking, moving and casting 33% faster for 5 seconds, this has a 10% chance of occuring). This also increases the effectiveness of Slave Mastery skills.
[Work Double! Shout 5 Adrenal, For 10 Seconds your slave/human companion has a additional 100% chance to overwork. If your slave/human companion dies with this shout, you suffer 60-20 damage.]
Whip Mastery: This increases the damage dealt by whip weapons and increases the effectiveness of Whip Mastery skills.
[Repeating Lash: skill, 7 adrenal, Your next 10 attacks deal +30 damage, this skill ends if you miss, attacks with this skill has a 20% chance of missing.]
Torture Specialist: No inherant effects, this increases the effectiveness of Torture specialist skills.
[Quartering {E} spell 15en 2cast 45 recharge, target foe loses 25% max health and has a 50% chance to suffer from bleeding and deep wound for 15 seconds.]
So basically this is pretty much a Ranger + Necro+warrior, companions, sacrifice health, some painful hexes not mentioned here, melee and shouts . Which in some ways it may work like a tank. The new Purchaseable and equipable Human companions will add a entirely new thing to the game. Dont whine about being overpowered, these are just numbers, it can be changed. But comment on the idea please

Nice idea. Not sure A-net are going to want to promote slavery. Somepeople might say that they promote black magic, but I think human slavery is a realy issue. The class is a good idea, but I guess A-net have to make their own minds up about this.

I don't think we need people going around the game calling other " My Slave is a Necro".
Someone need some history-cultural lessions...
(Actually, I did wrote few slave skills for an old concept class of mine too... so I cann't say much...)

I'm not going to flame your idea, because it's creative, and you've obviously put some thought into this, but I don't think there is any way Anet would go for this. The connotation involved with having human "slaves," would have some people in an uproar. I know this is a fantasy world and all, but slavery is a sensitive issue for many people, and Anet isn't going want to be known to promote it--bad PR.
Not to be rude, but I'm going to guess you're caucasian, cause no minority that I know would have thought of something like this--myself included

Exactly. Its a good idea for a class...maybe if you changed the name and the slave related stuff it would be more appropriate.

You guys are being very ignorant.
1. African Americans weren't the only slaves.
2. This is an original class concept.
3. Guild Wars isn't the 1800's

The term Slavemaster is detrimental to humanity, no matter which race, so there's a reason already. Even if that was determined OK people will still make rascist comments, especially if you have a darker skinned character. I've heard various racial comments without slavemaster...

The tme of slavery was just too violent and dramatic, I don't think A-net will even consider this one...

Imagine being african american, and your family was owned as slaves. Think of how that would feel seeing this in a game. Yes, african americans werent the only slaves, but I dont think it matters whether its africa theme of a damn australian theme, slavery is wrong.

Well, we have the chance to demote slavery in this game before it comes to light. I would however approve enemy NPC's to have the concept of slavery, it'll give us something to fight against. ^^ we're opposing it now aren't we? let's do it in game as well.
*shudders at whip mastery* actually, the slavery class would require you to do more damage to your slave than your opponent.... so yeah. I can't see it as an actual profession, anyone crazy enough to remove the rights of another can be a slavemaser

I don't think stuff that was slave in its name should really be in guild wars. Its an interesting idea but there no way Anet will or should have slavery in GW.
